This site will do more than just reflect AEDSB's activities. Our vision is to develop this into one of the most comprehensive web sites on development issues of Bangladesh. Through our own posted material and through cross-links to other relevant internet sites we intend to make this one of the first ports of call for anyone seeking information and knowledge on issues related to Bangladesh's development. Our definition of development is broader than just economics and our interest is in both academic as well as policy-oriented material. We are interested in contemporary issues but would like an historical perspective too.

We shall offer a rich menu of material, e.g. book reviews, lists of books and articles on Bangladesh, news on seminars and conferences, recent policy developments, information on institutions which deal with Bangladesh's development, statistics, list of experts and so on. The web site will of course evolve over time and what you see now is only the tip of the iceberg.
